Title: Living in tension
Scripture: Mark 4:26-32 2 Corinthians 5:6-9, 14-17
What are your images of father? Any common expression?
– strong, protection, patience, sacrifice, taking risk, maturity……
How do we view our fathers? Here are some opinions according to different ages.
– 4 years: My daddy can do anything.
– 12 years: Oh well, naturally father doesn’t know everything.
– 21 years: Oec Father? Hopelessly old-fashioned.
– 25 years: He knows a little bit about it but not much.
– 30 years: Must find out what dad thinks about it.
–40 years: What would dad have thought about dit?
–60 years: I wish I could talk it over with dad once more .
In 1996 National Aboriginal Day was proclaimed in Canada.
June 21 is National Aboriginal Day of prayer. The day is about celebrating the gift of
indigenous people and giving thanks to God, who has created the diversities of people of the
world and gifted aboriginal peoples with many treasures of wisdom, spirit, and vision.
In 1998, the United Church offered an apology to former students of the 13 residential
schools associated with our church and to their families and communities, for the harm they
suffered at the schools.
Let us continue to build and work toward right relations between Aboriginal people and
non-Aboriginal people in our thoughts, words, actions, and prayer.
Vision is the art of seeing things invisible. Paul declares that we walk by faith and not by
sight.
We try to see people through the eyes of Christ, broadening our vision through forgiveness.
In Christ, a new people is formed. In Christ, you are all children of God through faith. All of
you are one in Christ Jesus.
God’s act of grace through Jesus has broken through the barriers of race, social position,
and gender. God invites us to a new perspective, a deeper seeing, shaped by God’s new
creation in Christ.
Jesus tells of beginning in God’s realm that is like mustard seeds. Trust and faith result in
growth. Great potential resides in even the smallest.
God, in contrast to human understanding, sees into the hearts of us and calls forth our
potential.

As we live in faith, we are invited to look upon the world and ourselves with a God’s eye
view.
See as God sees. How do we see people and assess them? On what standard or ground?

마다하시는분,성숙하신분, 등..
각기 다른 연령에 따라서 아버지에 대한 이해가 다르다는 것을 우리는 앎니다.
4살: 우리 아빠는 무엇이든지 할수 있어요.
12살: 아빠라고 무엇이든지 다 아는것은 아니에요.
21살: 우리 아빠? 아무런 기대할수없는 낡은 스타일이에요.
25살: 뭐 조금은 아시지만 별로예요.
30살: 아빠 생각은 어떤지 알아봐야겠다.
40살: 아빠라면 어떻게 생각하셨을까?
60살: 아빠가 계시다면, 한번 더 상의하고 싶은데.
1996년에 캐나다는 원주민의 날을 선포했읍니다.
6월 21일은 원주민을 위한 기도의 날입니다.
우리는 그들이 갖고있는 재능과 선물들을 축하하며, 하나님께 감사드립니다.
하나님께서는 이 세상에 다양한 백성들을 만드시고, 원주민들에게 지혜와 비젼을
주셨읍니다.
우리 연합교단은 1998년에 우리 교단이 연관되어 있던 과거 13개의 기숙학교 학생들,
가족들, 그리고 그들의 공동체에 과거에 학생들이 겪었던 피해에 대해서 사과했읍니다.
우리 모두 각자의 생각, 용어, 행동, 그리고 기도를 통해서 원주민들과 바른관계를 갖기위해
계속해서 노력해야 할것입니다.
비젼이라는 말은 보이지 않는것을 보는 예술입니다. 바울은 우리가 보이는것 때문에
살아가는것이 아니고, 보이지 않는 믿음으로 살아간다고 선언합니다.
우리는 용서를 통해서 우리의 비젼을 넓히면서 그리스도의 눈으로 사람들을 보려고 노력합니다. 그리스도 안에서 새로운 사람이 이루어집니다.
그리스도안에서 믿음을 통해서 우리는 하나님의 자녀가 되는 것입니다. 우리 모두는 그리스도 안에서 하나입니다.
예수 그리스도를 통해서 베푸시는 하나님의 은혜로 인종, 사회 지위 그리고 성별의 장벽이 무너졌읍니다. 하나님께서는 예수 그리스도를 통해서 우리를
새롭게 만드셨기에 우리는 모든것을 새롭게 그리고 보다 깊이 볼수있게 되었읍니다. 예수님께서는 하나님의 나라가 겨자씨처럼 시작한다고 말씀하십니다.
신뢰와 믿음은 성장합니다. 아무리 작은 것이라도 위대한 가능성을 갖고 있읍니다.
사람이 이해하는 것과는 달리 하나님께서는 우리의 속을 들여다 보시면서 우리가 갖고있는 가능성을 찾아내십니다. 우리가 믿음으로 살아가면서 하나님의
눈으로 우리 자신과 이 세계를 보게됩니다. 하나님께서 보시는것처럼 보십시다. 우리는 어떻게 사람들을 보고 평가하나요?
